I'd take the wind any day over the snow!
I have to admit: I'm so happy that I'm in Texas and not in Utah. Actually, I would hate to be anywhere that is experiencing the horrible winter snow storms. I know Texas isn't the warmest right now and our wind has been ridiculously bad -- infact I saw a whole large tree uprooted today, but I'd take the crazy wind over the snow any day or the year...well as long as it doesn't blow my car off the road... Yay for Texas! :)

Rats in D.C.
So the other night I was watching the news when this really disturbing story came on. In Washington D.C. they have a big rat infestation problem. Apparently it is pretty bad to be in national news. To prove the seriousness of the situation a story was told about how a mother took her baby on a walk in a stroller and while passing a trash can a rat jumped into the stroller. How horrible!!! What would you do?!?

A request (or two) for details...
Well, I don't exactly know where to start. Let's see, I guess the reader's digest version starts with the fact that we met in the single's ward in August. The ward was at the Bishop's house for Break the Fast and he came up to me and asked to take my trash for me. A little while later (still at Break the Fast though) I went up to him and introduced myself. In September he asked me on a date, but I turned him down because I already had plans to baby sit -- I know I know I should have cancelled on them, but I really needed the money because I had just returned from Europe a few days previous. However, after three weeks had gone by and he had not reasked me out, I asked him to go to the State Fair with me, which we did on October 20. However, even after that he took forever to come around and ask me out again and oh, I guess I should mention that he was dating a lot of different girls in the ward too. Anyway, after Heather's wedding we still had a lot of family in town and we had planned on taking them to Six Flags, so I invited him to come, but he already had a date that night so he turned me down, but he asked me to go rock climbing with him the next week instead. So, at the end of November we went rock climbing and then after that he hasn't been dating anyone but me and we've spent just about every day together since then. So, that's the reader's digest version. I guess I should add in that I am so happy that it is hard for me to stop smiling and because of that my family just laughs at me most of the time...but I can't get enough of him! :)
I like this picture of us better than I do the other one. Oh, did I mention, his name is Curt? I'm such a ding dong! :)
