Splash Park Day 2

This time when we went to the splash park, Isabelle completely surprised me. See the night before while taking a bath she stopped mid scream (she had been screaming through 100% of her baths for months!) and discovered a bubble in the water from the soap. After that she's been a changed baby. Now she loves the bath and screams when we take her out. However, since that moment, she's loved the water. So when we arrived at the splash park and she went into the water with no timidness whatsoever I was more than happy and super excited at this new change.
...sorry for the water drop...
I was surprised she even went near these:
And her favorite thing of the day: the turtle! Oh how she loved this thing. Of course her cousin Abby taught her to drink from the turtle spray...
She didn't even care if she got a full face of water. She loved it...
By the end of the day, she was pretty worn out though...She had to take a little break:

Splash Park Day 1

At the beginning of May, Isabelle and I went out to my sister-in-law's house to go to the local park/splash park. How cool is that?!? Their park has a public splash park. It is so nice too! We love it there. However, I should really say, we love it now. At first Isabelle did not love it at all. She wouldn't let me put her down. If I did this is what she did:
However, one nice thing about this splash park...at least on this day is every 10 or 15 minutes, it turns off. When it turns off, the water goes down really slowly. When Isabelle realized this, she hesitatingly started to inch near the water.
Eventually she put her hands in:
And eventually she sat down to play:
And then her cousin Abby taught her this:
Yeah...she loved that!
The water kept getting lower and lower though...but that didn't stop Isabelle!
Well...at least not until there was nothing left. Then she went about to discover the rest of the park. She found herself a turtle friend...
And every friend deserves a kiss!
And of course no day/outfit change can go without checking on her belly button to see if it is still there.
Now she loves the whole slash park! WITHOUT the water, of course.
Which means when a little boy came to play and turn the water on she wasn't happy...
But he didn't like the big water either, so he let it turn off and Isabelle was in hog heaven again.
However, all good things must come to an end and a very rude mom showed up just after these pictures were taken. While Lacey and I were standing with our cameras, and our children were standing with their faces just over the water spouts, she came up to the on button and pushed it. The button is actually really close to where we were too, so she definitely saw us! Thank goodness there is about a ten second delay before the water gets big and since we saw her do it we were able to grab our kids before they got a face full of high pressured water. Afterwards she said really snotty-like, "Oh, sorry..." Yeah...lady. Kharma. It's coming for you now.

14 Months

Here are some quick tidbits about Isabelle at 14 months:

  • Her vocabulary has expanded some more...really in the past few days. She can now say, "No," "Juice" and "Shoe."
  • She prefers to be in just a diaper. Since it is so hot she sleeps that way, so she spends most of the morning that way unless we have to be somewhere.
  • In the past four nights, she's slept through the night three times. YAY!!
  • If you sing "Ring Around the Rosies" she'll get really excited and start spinning in circles. She doesn't fall though unless she actually falls over.
  • She walks around the house yelling, "Dada!" She points to the pictures and yells, "Dada!" She points to the door and yells, "Dada!" You ask her to say something she says, "Dada!" You look at her she says, "Dada!" Yeah...she's a little obsessed...
  • If any movement is made towards the door or if someone knocks on the door, she gets crazy excited and moves as fast as she can to the door.
  • She tries to jump. Not really to actually jump, but she gets so excited that she wants to do the jumping movement because she can't contain herself. However, she can't jump, so she ends up just going up on her tippy toes. At the same time she throws her hands up in the air...usually to point at whatever made her excited in the first place. It is super cute.
  • As soon as we leave our apartment, she goes to the rail, grabs it and starts yelling at the water fountain in the neighboring apartment complex. Then she starts to point and do her wanna-be jump.
  • She hates the high chair and will no longer tolerate it. We recently bought a dinning room table and now she stands on a chair with arms to it and eats at the table with us.
  • She still loves books, but she's started to bend the cover to her board books back. We no longer rent books from the library because of this...
  • She loves our phones, but she's no longer allowed to play with those because she bought an explicit Eminem song on my birthday. Happy Birthday to me... Grrr....
  • She LOVES her small magna doodle. It is her favorite toy ever. She will sit for thirty minutes and do nothing else but color. She will color until every honeycomb is black...and then keep coloring. It is super cute. I love that she loves it so much. It has made car rides sooo much easier.
  • She still makes faces all the time. Her current favorite is her "O" face. See below...even though that isn't the full "O" expression.
  • She won't really wear headbands and bows anymore. Super sad for me! (Remember the below pics are old...)
  • She's just about out of her size four shoes. Super sad too...she has some really great shoes!
And...since I haven't been blogging and haven't put these pictures up even though they are two weeks old...here are some pictures of her! :)

Mission Pictures

Ugh...I obviously have no motivation to blog. I was using the no internet connection as an excuse, but now we have the internet...and there are still no updates. I have tons to blog about...I just don't have very nice things to say about my child right now. She's cutting four molars at once! Can I just say that makes for one evil baby? :) Anyway, since I don't want to talk about her...I'll talk about scrapbooking/Curt. I have an assignment to scrapbook using a boy/adventure kit. Well, since the only boy in our family is Curt right now, I've been going through his mission pictures. I'm sure he just loves when I do so...especially since I'm going to post a picture (or two or three) for everyone to see.
I love Curt's messy hair:
And I love the waterfall:
And my favorite:
I'm sure Curt can't wait for everyone to see these pictures... :) hehehehe

Isn't my little girl super cute in the pajama bottoms my mom made her?
We still don't have our internet connected from the move... Sorry for the major lack of posts...
