Ella's Drawing

At the beginning of March, Ella started drawing people. We've been really impressed with her control of a pen/marker/pencil as she's learned how to draw, color and trace. She does very well, and her biggest issue is stopping before she actually ends up ruining her drawings because she goes over board and colors everything in.

Here's her first (I believe) drawing of a person ever.

Last week, I asked the kids to draw pictures for Daddy's birthday. Ella was the only one who listened to me. (Hey...1 out of 3 is better than I normally get...) She brought me this picture a little while later. I was totally impressed because I knew exactly who she'd drawn. She drew Curt, complete with his beard, or "scruff" as the girls call it. This little picture is quite the treasure now. I just love looking at it!

This last one, she drew this weekend. When I asked her who the picture was of, Ella replied, "Isabelle and Emery...but not me."
