She Loves The Car Seat?!?

How can children love something they once HATED less than a year ago? She sat in Levi's car seat for a really long time on Tuesday...several times. Oh the days where she would scream non-stop every time we put her in the car seat. Oh how I do not miss you!

One Year Portraits

Shortly after Isabelle's birthday, we took her to a photographer to get her portraits done. My mom had specifically bought the tutu and tank top before she was even born for this specific occasion. I made the bow and my mom made her leggin's to go under the tutu. Her toes were even painted, but well...you can't see them. Sad... Anyway, we finally have the two images we bought and we are so excited about how they turned out. I sure would have hated to spend lots of money and not have a single good one...which is always a possibility with a baby...

Isabelle insisted on having her foot up on the wagon... Since I envisioned perfect pictures...it kind of bugs me, but it really does show her personality.

Sweet Baby

So these pictures are over a month old now...but I just love them so much. Soon after we moved to our apartment we started making trips to my parent's house to use the internet and play outside. This was one such afternoon. We had only moved days previous, but you'd have thought it had been weeks since she'd been out in her toys. She just adores being outside (when she's not sweating to death...).

Love her! :) Oh September/October/November: please hurry and get here! I can't take much more heat. (It's really sad it's just getting started.)

Bath Time Colors

I think I mentioned in my splash park posts about how Isabelle went through a couple of months of hating the bath tub and screaming the entire time she was in it. Now that she likes the tub we got her some water crayons to entertain her. It was on our list of things to try to see if we could make her like the tub, but it took longer to remember than I care to admit. Anyway, she LOVES them. These pictures are a couple of weeks old, but they are the first time she used the crayons...

Funny story: So, Isabelle insists on standing in the bath tub. No matter what. So, we've finally just realized we have to accept it and try and make it as safe as we can. How do you do that? A bath mat of course. Right? Well, the little monster is just too smart for that! She is apparently a dare devil and likes to walk the line. She refuses to walk on the bath mat. Yep...she walks around the bath mat.

At all costs... She refuses to step on it. I actually sat her on the bath mat and she was okay...but when she wanted to get up and stand... Well, that presented a problem. She literally stood with one foot on the mat and one in the air trying to figure out how to get off the mat without putting her foot down. Such a silly girl!

Denial

I'm practically a single mom again during the week days. I'm trying to not think about it, but I just realized I won't see my husband until after she's been in bed for hours... Ugh. Maybe Summer isn't all it's cracked up to be...
